Doppler is the selfed cross (S1) of the Mendo Breath collection. This Californian indica delivers robust performance with superb resistance, easy cultivation, and a flavor-packed couchlock effect. Designed for both novice and experienced growers in mind, Doppler combines the hype of Cali strains with the resilience of legacy genetics, ensuring exceptional results in any grow space.
Lineage
Doppler is the combination of Mendo Breath x Mendo Breath. This is in essence a selfed plant or S1. The resulting plants are typically slightly less vigorous than non selfed plants, but allow for the expression of the plant to be more stable and homogeneous and in which only the most dominant genes will truly show itself.
Aromas, Flavour and Effect
Doppler makes its aromatic presence known in the grow room, with its intense sweet and slightly skunky aroma. As flowering progresses, the sweet smell intensifies and takes center stage.
This strain offers a swift and heavy effect that is typical of indica strains, delivering deep physical relaxation. While THC levels are a moderate 20%, the entourage effect amplifies the potency, making Doppler a go-to choice for relaxation, unwinding after a long day or ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
Medical users appreciate Doppler for its ability to provide effective pain relief, relaxation, and appetite stimulation. Its powerful body-focused effects make it a reliable option for managing chronic conditions and promoting overall well-being.
Cultivation
Doppler is a short yet, visually striking plant, with purple hues appearing in both the leaves and buds. These colors are complemented by fiery orange pistils and a heavy frost of trichomes that begins around week 4 or 5 of flowering. The resinous coating extends to the sugar leaves, highlighting the plant’s exceptional resin production.
Indoors: Doppler’s compact, bushy indica structure makes it ideal for grow rooms with limited space, as it exhibits minimal stretch. Growers should use apical pruning (topping) to encourage lateral growth and maximize yield. The plant’s dense, chunky buds require careful humidity control (below 60–65%) during flowering to prevent mold. Lollipopping lower branches before transitioning to flowering is recommended to direct all energy to it’s main flower formations.
Indoor Yield: 400g per m²
Outdoors: Outdoor growers should be cautious in regions with excessive rainfall or high humidity due to the plant’s large, dense colas. However, Doppler benefits from the resilience of its Mendo Breath lineage, offering strong defense against pests and environmental challenges.
Outdoor Yield: 800g per plant
